We begin with singing at 9:30 to about 9:45 AM. Then we have an hour of silence from 9:45 until about 10:45. After announcements and a break, we have Second Hour, approximately 11 to noon. Meeting for Business is scheduled for the first Sunday of each month during Second Hour. Other weeks we may have a speaker, a potluck lunch, a discussion topic, or a Worship Sharing. Our goal is to take up one spiritual topic and one peace, justice, or environmental issue each month.

First Day School is held during Meeting for Worship. A volunteer teacher will take children to a separate room, where activities are planned based on the their age group.

Athens Meeting is Unprogrammed. This means we hold Silent Worship which consists of an hour of sitting together in silence, with the silence being broken whenever someone feels led to share a message. There is no single minister, but all are ministers to each other. Matters of business are guided by the Clerk, who also opens and closes the worship hour.
